The tinted darkness of a car interior renders driver and passengers as faceless, anonymous individuals in a landscape of metal and asphalt. In motion, we see them—and we don’t. "Driver's Seat" is a series of portraits made in those fleeting moments when traffic slows and the sun casts faces in an emotionally revealing light.

Carl Glassman is a photojournalist and documentary photographer and co-founder and editor of The Tribeca Trib, a publication that covers Lower Manhattan. His work has appeard in numerous publications and exhibitions and he is the author of a book of street photography, "SOHO: A PICTURE PORTRAIT."
